Can I use water in the VocalMist?Updated 2 months ago
It is difficult to ensure the sterility of other types of water (we don't want you breathing bacteria!), and the vocal benefits of using the VocalMist are also significantly more pronounced when used with isotonic saline rather than water.
Distilled water actually does not conduct electricity, so it cannot be properly atomized in the VocalMist, which uses electricity and a fast vibration to create mist. (This works differently than a heated steamer).
For those reasons, we only endorse the use of sterile isotonic saline made for inhalation, and we provide that in our online store as VocalMist Hydration Formula. You can find more of that solution available for purchase on our website if you choose to purchase from us, and we also offer a low-cost subscription service that provides Hydration Formula delivered to your door every month.
