Daily Maintenance

After each use, tip out any leftover saline and remove the nozzle cap so the device can air-dry completely before you store it. This is the most important step — a fully dried device won’t grow anything, and the small amount of salt that dries on the surface is normal and helps discourage buildup. Wipe the main unit with a dry cloth if needed; never rinse or submerge it.

Deep Cleaning (when it looks dirty, after illness, or for a thorough refresh)

1. You can separate the cup assembly from the device body for this — but keep the metal contact pins dry. Only wash and rinse the inside of the cup and the mouthpiece.
2. Rinse the cup interior and mouthpiece under warm water (under 104°F / 40°C).
3. Flush the mesh by running a little distilled water through the cup on a normal cycle. Don’t touch, wipe, or scrub the mesh — water only.
4. Gently shake the cup assembly from side to side (5–10 times) to clear water from the mesh holes.
5. Set the parts on a clean, dry towel and let them air-dry completely (a few hours) before reassembling.

Please avoid: soap or dish detergent, vinegar, and sterilizing tablets — on this model they can leave residue in the mesh or wear it down over time. Warm water and distilled water are all it needs. Don’t wet the contact pins, don’t submerge the main unit, and don’t use hot water or heat to dry.

If it won’t mist after cleaning: there’s likely a little water trapped in the mesh — shake the cup assembly again to clear the holes and it should mist normally.
